Ushers are a group of dedicated men organized to create an atmosphere of welcome and decorum in the church. Fashioned after the pre-Vatican II minor Order of Porters, (for attendees), the ushers were the original "greeters" as they welcomed the worshipers and escorted them to their places. They collect the parish gifts at the offertory. The ushers have given fifty years of dedicated service to the parish and are an integral part of all church services.
